I had featured one of my images from Nandi Hills a few days ago on paintedstork facebook page. Browsing through the page this morning, I realized that many of my pictures from Nandi are scattered across several posts on my blog. Nandi Hills has many moods that vary with the season. It may look like a dull rocky hill with scrub forest and a few gardens during the first visit. At least that’s what I thought about it. But subsequent trips revealed many interesting faces of the hill.

If there is one thing I am jealous about people living in Delhi, it is about the huge number of places around the city worth travelling to. Delhi has a variety of weekend getaways to choose from. Travelling in one direction you can see snowy peaks while on another side is a desert. The city is also close to several national parks, beautiful rivers and historical locations. Here is a list of places around Delhi, ideal for a weekend drive. The list is too small compared to what Delhi can offer a traveller.

After contemplating on creating a facebook page for almost a year, India India Travel Blog is finally on facebook. Apart from being a convenient way to read posts on India Travel Blog, I will use it to make some mobile updates on the move, post photographs and share anything interesting (like links, stuff I bump into in real life and web, etc) on travel and photography. It will also be a place where I will make short posts that are too small to go here. You are more than welcome to post anything related to travel and photography on the wall.
